So, the photos from the sixth week are rather late, because we've been up to house-buying shenanigans in that period of time... but that does not obscure the fact that Jolyon continues to be an absolute delight. Things we've learned include that if we go running with a bottle of expressed breast milk in the other cupholder (the one that doesn't contain water for the runner), it actually ends up producing enough churning motion to make some of the fat solidify on the side of the bottle, a la a butter churn. We've also seen the advent of the smiling growing from more to more, and as our college motto concludes, life is enriched. He is so entertained by looking at our faces, it's incredibly rewarding. He smiles all the time, such as while eating and in between bouts of being cranky and when you rub his temples and when you make noises. Priscilla, our black Persian cat, is pretty high on the list of favorite things, too.
I get why some people say that "at six weeks, it gets so much easier" - though we haven't been having a hard time of it previously, either, but he's just so much fun now that he's smiling at anything and everything.
