We are in the process of getting quotes for insurance on our new home. Upon looking for local State Farm agents to call, I selected Brent Amacher, because we saw his band, Brent Amaker and the Rodeo, as on opening act at a local music club. Note the spelling change of the name, presumably so his insurance clients don't wind up with a lot of links to mediocre country music when they google him.

Regarding homeowner's insurance, we would appreciate hearing good or bad reviews of various insurance companies. We have auto insurance with GEICO, so we might get a discount by going with them, but they don't hold the policy themselves - they look for good rates from other companies (current best was Liberty Mutual).

we just decided on our insurance. we went with state farm. we had them for our rental insurance, progressive for the cars. i appreciated how friendly the state farm guy was. we talked for half an hour on the phone so i would completely understand everything that goes into a policy. he made a good point that having an actual local person to talk to whenever you have an issue is nice. i think they are more invested in you than an online company. anna did some price comparisons too. state farm came out better for us. but that part's all very subjective. oh we got a discount for doing home and auto together.
ReplyDeleteI would classify their music as quite good, just the blue-screen work as somewhat mediocre. Certainly more than I would have expected from an insurance agent, in any case!
