House, the second take!

So, alas the adorable craftsman had too many flaws turned up in the inspection for us to want to move ahead with the purchase. Our realtor sent us a card that said "Good decision. Better luck next time!" along with our torn up earnest money check.

It turns out that we did, in fact, have better luck next time. We had an accepted offer on our second choice, and our inspection was absolutely boring in comparison, which is great news and means that we have found a home!

The 1970s rambler era of architecture is admittedly a bit less charming at first glance, but it's a walk to the ferry and it has a mini-orchard of fruit trees (2 pear, 1 apple, and two are mystery!). Plus, knowing that the house is not about to explode or catch fire is also pretty priceless. We're super-excited!
