Jolly got to sit in the big kids seat of the shopping cart for the first time today, and it was apparently so much fun. He loves having freedom of movement and he loves being able to look around at everything. Periodically he would grab onto my shirt, or chew on the handlebar, and he laughed and squealed and looked delighted by everything. Funnest shopping experience ever.
A non-salty bit of pretzel was also chewed into total oblivion, by Jolly. (His parents decimated the rest of two pretzels fresh from the German bakery, too, but that's not really terribly surprising.)
Also visited baby Arden (again for Ephiny, first time for me), and it's so fun to have Jolly be the giant comparison baby. I remember it being the other way when he was a newborn, and thinking our baby would never look that burly. He's still a string bean, true, but he's definitely solid and sitting and grabbing and laughing and it is such a great thing to watch his personality emerge!
