Yesterday Jolly sat independently for the first time! He's still a bit wobbly and eventually collapses to one side or the back, which is why it's good that we have a sheepskin rug for him to practice on... but it's pretty impressive.
The day before yesterday he actually ate some applesauce, and possibly also a non-homeopathic dose of some purple potatoes.
We're also on day 3 of sleep training, which is proving much less traumatic than we'd thought it might be. Over the the past few weeks Jolly had been getting into the habit of falling asleep while eating (or just hanging out) and then getting very cross when moved out of our arms. We thought this really needed to be fended off before it became engrained as a necessary ritual. So far, so good!
