Trucks in the kitchen

I am working from home today so I could take care of the kids while Guinevere went to the dentist. I was playing with Jolly and his kitchen, and he declared we should bake cookies. So we rolled out the imaginary cookie dough with the rolling pin, then used the cookie cutters to cut out shapes. Then the cookie cutters needed to go in the dishwasher. (Jolly has declared that the part of his kitchen that is not the oven is the dishwasher.) But how to get them in there? The digger! First the cookie cutters go in the shovel of the digger. Then the digger drives to the dishwasher and dumps the cookie cutters. Then, the rolling pin needs to go in also, but it is too big for the digger. So it goes in the dump truck instead, and the dump truck backs up to the dishwasher and dumps out the rolling pin. Now it is time to put the cookies in the oven. So the baking sheet goes in the dump truck, and gets dumped into the oven. Really, how do adults manage to cook without kitchen trucks?

  1. The idea of "kitchen trucks" makes me think of the Doozers from Fraggle Rock...if only they were into baking.
