New skills over the past week

Jolly now does the following:
- sticking his tongue out with delight -- we call this his KISS face.
- waving good-bye.
- shaking his head back and forth when he's excited... doesn't mean "No" yet, though - in fact, it's more the opposite!
- enjoys airplane rides to the point of not being able to nap at all, even if that means a 4 am to 6 pm day.

To cope with the last item on the list, we discovered and then exploited the fact that our child is a chocoholic of unmatched proportions. Please don't judge, grandparents, but packing some M&Ms meant that everyone from flight attendants to people sitting around us commented "oh, your baby is just soooo happy!" We did feed him grapes and cheerios and pretzels and cheese and sandwich ingredients and milk first, but apparently chocolate is like an immediate wormhole to blissed out Jolly. I think we now know exactly what incentive will work when someday we become the very last people in our group of parent friends to undertake potty training (we live in a pocket of astoundingly high rates of "elimination communication").
