First lost tooth!

Jolly lost his first tooth a few days ago. It had been very loose for a while, but he was reluctant to yank at it. It finally came out in a breakfast donut, and he spit it out and put it on his plate without realizing what it was. Only when he looked in the mirror did he realize it was a tooth, and I was very pleased I had not yet emptied it into the compost along with his banana peel!

He put it in an envelope, wrote "TOOTH FAIRY" on the outside (with spelling help), and put it under his pillow. (He knows his Mummy is playing the tooth fairy.) In the morning he found a letter on Wonder Woman stationery and a two-dollar bill. (Future teeth will get dollar coins.) He was super excited about the lost tooth, and his gap-toothed smile is intensely cute. Two more teeth are now loose!
