New bed

Yesterday we took apart the bed that Jolly had been sleeping in since he was born. First it was a crib, then we took the side off to make it a toddler bed. We wanted to avoid taking his bed away and giving it immediately to the new baby, so we got him a new bed now. It is half of a twin-size bunk bed, but the beds can also be assembled separately, so currently we just have the one set up. It fits perfectly in the corner between bookshelf on one wall and closet on the other. In a couple of years, when Jolly gets old enough to sleep on the top bunk and Rip gets too big for his bed (crib to be turned into a toddler bed at some point in future), we will bunk them.

Jolly is very excited about the new bed, and Rip had a fit of jealousy last night when he did not get to sleep in it too. This morning, Jolly said: "I slept all night in my new bed!  My bed slept all night too. It is still sleeping."
